Nickelodeon India, or just Nick India is an Indian children's television network based in Mumbai. It is the Indian equivalent to the original American network and is owned by Viacom 18, a joint venture between Viacom and Network 18. Nick India is available in four languages (English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil).
Nick India is also available in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.

Background
Nickelodeon India is a television channel aired to children in India and neighbouring countries. Nick India broadcasts many popular programmes, most notably Motu Patlu and Ninja Hattori-kun. In addition, there are educational shows for toddlers, like Dora the Explorer, that are featured on Nick India's pre-school channel, Nick Jr. In the channel's first years of broadcasting, it aired mostly original programs, like Rugrats, Aaahh! Real Monsters, As Told by Ginger, Rocket Power, The Wild Thornberrys and other animated shows such as The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Rocko's Modern Life, The Angry Beavers, CatDog, Hey Arnold!, The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom. The network also aired live action shows, such as Kenan & Kel, Drake & Josh, Clarissa Explains It All, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Nick Bites and many more.
On 5 December 2015, Viacom 18 launched Nickelodeon HD+ in India, the first HD kids channel in the country. It airs HD episodes of their local shows, as well as new episodes and shows from the original Nickelodeon channel that have never been aired in India before, such as The Legend of Korra.

Programming
Nick India broadcasts mostly cartoons. Educational shows such as Dora the Explorer are also aired on Nick Jr. India.
Viacom 18 recently launched VOOT, a video on demand service. In the VOOT Kids Zone there are several Nickelodeon shows that were never shown on Nick India TV, such as T.U.F.F. Puppy.
For the past few years Nick India has been focusing less on international shows and even original American Nickelodeon shows, many of the shows from the 2010s have not been aired on Nick India and does not bring new episodes of American shows already released on Nick India, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The channel has been focusing a lot on local content ever since the success of Motu Patlu.
